What is the difference between the centre of gravity(COG) and the centre of mass(COM):-
The Centre of mass is the point at which whole mass of the body is assumed concentrated.In other word we can say that the distribution of mass will equal in all possible directions. The com is independent of gravitational field.

The Centre of weight is the point at which whole weight of the body is assumed concentrated.In other word we can say that the distribution of weight will equal in all possible directions. The cog dependents upon gravitational field.
